Pakistan Needs To Formulate Martial Arts Commission- Master Zubairi

The World Organizer of Martial Arts, The International Council of Higher Martial Arts Education, Pakistan Chapter, has organized and host one-day Martial Arts speech seminar in collaboration with Karachi Taekwondo Academy on Saturday 26 th November 2005.

Rizwan Mustafa Zubairi, the seminar host and chief of WOMA in Pakistan said that the main objective to conduct this seminar is make unification and collecting the ideas with respect to the life experiences of the speakers who practicing and teaching martial arts over 25 years, and to assemble them on a one plate form, he added that the time has come to formulate a martial arts commission on district level which is responsible of making martial arts standards in Pakistan. The prominent martial artist of various discipline deliver lectures and speeches on their martial arts system and gave suggestions and recommendations to the group to develop the martial arts standards and excellence in Pakistan.

The seminar speakers are Grandmaster Ashraf Tai, M.Najam Khan, Zahoor Baig Rehmani, Anwar-Ul-Haq, Hussain Buksh, Nadeem Isphani, Hameed Baluch, Nasir Ali, Sohail Ali khan, Abdul Rahim and large numbers of senior and junior black belts and sports officials have witness the occasion. Master Zubairi has noted the recommendation made by the speakers.
Mr. Saeed Alam, Director Sports WOMA-Pakistan said all style of martial arts needs brotherhood and peace. He added that unite we stand, divide we fall.

Master Zubairi and Saeed Alam has distributed the "Shield of Honor" to all speakers and prominent martial artists and officials in recognition for there contribution and promotion of martial arts in Pakistan.

WOMA-Pakistan has also distributed the special shields to the black belts and sports officials for there contribution and support to the martial arts.

Master Zubairi has paid special thanks to Mr.Saeed Alam and Mr.Rehman Shah for helping in organizing the seminar.

The Pakistan Taekwondo Council has organized Third Master Zubairi's Koryo Poomse Cup 2006 on 27 th January at Officers Club Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Co Ltd, Multan.

The event is dully sanctioned and approved by "Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association"-USA. World Taekwondo Union-UK. United States Martial Artist Association USA and International Taekwondo and BudoSports Federation, Germany.

The black belts teams from Karachi District, Minanwali District, Multan District and Multan Police has participated the event in four weight classes under the World Taekwondo Federation rules.

Mr. Mazhar Hussain 5 th Dan, Senior Taekwondo Master in multan city was honored to be the chief guest of the occasion who has distributed the medals and certificates and shield among black belts and instructors. This is the very first time in the history of Multan district that such an event took place. Master Safdar Ali 4 th dan of Multan city has specially perform Koryo. The black belts group has also perform Koryo Poomse to grace the occasion.

Master Zubairi has awarded 3 rd dan black belt to Mr. Rana M Sarwar and second dan to Mr. Saqib Khalid, Mr. M.Zeeshan while 1 st dan to Mr. Atif Khalid.Mr Saqib Khalid was also announced to be the Director of Pakistan Taekwondo Council for Multan City. Master Zubairi has awarded the special shields “Award of Excellence” in appreciation for the active promotion of Taekwondo to Mazhar Hussain (5 th Dan), Faisal Jehan (4 th Dan) Safdar Ali (4 th Dan) Jamil Ghani Qureshi (3 rd Dan), Rana M Sarwar (3 rd Dan) ,Rana Riaz (2 nd Dan) , Saqib Khalid (2 nd Dan) , M.Zeeshan (2 nd Dan),Imran Bhatti (1 st Dan),Saif-ur-Rehman (1 st Dan) , Atif Khalid (1 st Dan) ,M.Mushtaq (1 st Dan) , Rashid Qureshi (1 st Dan) and Furqan Ahmed (1^st Dan).

Master Zubairi 5 th Dan Kukkiwon has Dedicated this event to Grandmaster Richard Hackworth (9 th Dan) President and Founder Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association for his dedicated services and active promotion of Taekwondo.

The two day 4 th Master Zubairi’s Taekwondo Cup 2006 was held on 22 nd and 23 rd march 2006 in celebration of Pakistan day at Karachi in CDGK-Rashid Minhas School.

“World Taekwondo Federation.” under the auspices “Pakistan Taekwondo Council.”

The first day matches has been conducted among the 450 girls and boys from 15 schools of City District Government Karachi, while on second day Poomse competition has been conducted among the black belt players.

The Taekwondo event is dully sanctioned and approved by “World Organizer of Martial Arts, Saudi Arabia” by Prof Dr Grandmaster M.I.Tianero & “International Brotherhood of Taekwondo Instructors-Saudi Arabia” by Master Ricky B.Barbosa.

The event is inaugurated by Mr. Saeed Alam (Director Sports WOMA-Pakistan) at its opening ceremony on 22 nd March 2006 (Wednesday) with school band and scouts parade and a grand Taekwondo demonstration.

The chief guest of the first day was Mr. Hafiz Usama Qadri (CDGK-Nazim, Liquatabad Town) and Guest of Honor was Mr. Amjad Ali Mirza (CDGK-District Officer Local Bodies Wing). They had distributed the trophies, shields and certificates among the winners of CDGK-Schools Girls and boys competition.

The World Headquarters of WOMA and IBTI sent very special certificates, which were, distributed among the Taekwondo instructors, event officials, out-standing participants, sports teachers of CDGK-Schools and very special guests who witness the two-day event.

Master Zubairi has selected 5 top girls from the event Miss Faiza Abdul Hameed, Miss Hunza Shakir, Miss Sumaira Parveen, Miss Samar Salahuddin, Miss Mehwish Farooq, while 5 top boys Aun Mustafa, Sabeeh Mustafa, M. Zaid, Anas Ikram and Waleed.

The Pakistani Top T.V Channel GEO on 25th and 26th march 2006, time to time to time to time in all over the world, has displayed the first day event highlights.

The first day event has dedicated to Ms Vivian G.E.Tianero by Master Zubairi due to her hard and dedicated work on humanities development and martial arts.

The second day 23 rd march 2006 (Thursday), the chief guest was Ms. Anjum Khan (Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, Executive Member), while Mr. Ahmed Ali Rajput (Associate Secretary Pakistan Olympic Association), witnessed the occasion as guest of honor. They have distributed shields, medals and certificates.

The Poomse matches have been conducted between the black belts players, they have demonstrated the skills full techniques of Taeguks, Koryo, Keumgang and Taeback.

The out standing black belts players of the Poomse competition were M.Kashif, Syed Asad Ali, M.Farjan Shah, Rashid Qureshi, Omar Musse Ali, M.Alam, Saleem-Ul-Haq, Abdul Abid.

Master Zubairi in his closing speech said that Poomse is becoming a very important part in Taekwondo competition world wide and when announced by WTF that they are going to conduct Poomse Competition in all of their world events, we at Pakistan decided to do the same and this is our forth Poomse competition among black belts.

He is really thankful to all members of his team and Taekwondo friends who have made this event memorable and successful.

Master Zubairi has dedicated the second day Poomse event to Sheikh / Dr. Ali Al-Atiq who is the 6 th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo and Chairman of the Board of World Organizer of Martial Arts. The Jury has declared Mr. Rashid Qureshi the best player among poomse competition of the event. Master Rizwan Mustafa Zubairi (6th Dan) has awarded Second Dan Black Belt to Rashid Qureshi, Omar Musse Ali while Red belt to Mr. Asif Qureshi.
